On Mon., Jan. 18th, the students participated in a Wellness Activity to honor Martin Luther King., Jr. The theme of the activity was “Respect.” Each exercise period incorporated the idea of respecting others.
For these short activities, the students remained in the classrooms (or related arts classroom). The students were directed over the P.A. system to perform certain exercises as music was played…Aretha Franklin, of course. Each activity lasted approximately three minutes.
Thank you to the following students for announcing the activities throughout the school day. They were: Grace and Ashlynn, Samantha and Marissa, Morgan and Gretchen, and Tony and Declan. They did a great job and we appreciate everyone's participation.

Wellness Walk

On October 27, 2009 the students were given the opportunity to "Walk Away from Drugs." This activity was held during our district's annual celebration of "Red Ribbon Week" and took place during exploratory. The Wellness Committee mapped an outdoor walking trail where the students and teachers walked for approximately 35 minutes. Walking is a fun and easy way to be healthy - no special equipment needed.
It was great to be outside, with friends, and feeling fit!
